Discrimination Against Dating a “10″

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

In Evan Marc Katz’s blog Should I Date a 7 or Hold Out for a 10?

Evan wrote  “10’s are shallow, narcissistic, selfish, demanding, difficult, more likely to flirt, less likely to commit, and somewhat disconnected from the ‘average’ person’s reality”

I believe this  is total discrimination.

The people who are 10’s is not the problem.  The problem is the people who date them are willing to put up with their BS just because they’re hot.

I guarantee that if you start putting 10’s in their place…you will have a great relationship.  These people are not used to someone standing up to them. They are used to walking all over people because no one is willing to stop them. Don’t let them get away with it!

No body wants to date someone who they feel they can walk all over.  It’s not a challenge, it’s boring, and you get sick of it.  Then you push the envelope even more to see if you can get away with it.  Just like a child when they are testing their parents.

These are people just like everyone else.  If you treat a 10 like any regular Jane or Joe you’d be more likely to have smooth sailing.

Dating Sites – the 10 things they don’t tell you

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

I saw a great article on MSN the other day, yes it was published a while ago but at least I finally saw it. The Author, Jason Kephart, was talking about the 10 things that online dating sites Don’t tell you when you sign up. Here is the article if you care to read it directly: http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/CollegeAndFamily/LoveAndMoney/10-things-dating-sites-wont-tell-you.aspx?page=1

What I thought was interesting was how negative the article was and how the readers responded. One guy even claimed that he was a online dating site owner and that everything he had on his site was bogus. Fake people, fake profiles, liars and scammers ….how is this possible?

A lot of the readers disagreed and had positive experiences while noting that there were always “bad apples” to deal with. I think this is a better representation of the overall state of the online dating industry. Basically, if it did not work for most people then the sites would quickly go out of business. Think about how many people you know that got a relationship or married after as a direct result of online dating.

The one main point that I will agree with wholeheartedly was the point that, basically, online dating sites do everything that they can to get you to sign up, but once they have you, they basically abandon you. Since there are no “Online dating classes”, whats a novice to do? The online dating companies could improve both their image and their subscriber satisfaction if they spent even a little time helping their clients develop their profiles and then show them how to get the most out of the site.
